Found out about this place through a coworker. Everyone gave great customer service without being overzealous and I love that. Drinks ✅ Food✅ PRICES ✅ Atmosphere✅ They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It was refreshing to have a convo with the staff without anything feeling weird or forced. This place will great and I will definitely be coming back without a doubt.

Last night (Jul 11) following a play at Theo Ubique theater we were walking to the El and decided to pop into Ward Eight for a nightcap. It was our first time there. Alas, the bartender told us that due to it being a quiet night they had already made last call about 10 minutes prior. But, he'd be happy to give us a shot of Amaro on the house! What a surprise that was! He talked about the wide variety of Amaro and joined us. I must say that this level of downright friendliness makes it a no brainer for a return visit to Ware Eight again.

This place is terrific. I’m at a loss for words as to how to describe Ward 8. It’s a relatively small bar that serves a relatively small menu of food. But it’s so much more than that. Let me start with the easy part - the limited food selection includes things like fries with truffle, cheese, balsamic reduction, and crème fresh, and white bean dip with toasted French bread and microgreens. These aren’t ordinary bar foods - they are over the top delicious and creative snacks that fit perfectly with the drinks Jeremy serves. So let’s consider the drinks - something that can’t be done without considering Jeremy’s extensive collection of exotic liquors or even more extensive knowledge of flavors, infusions, smokes, and garnishes. Mention just about any unusual drink to Jeremy and he not only knows how to make it but has several suggestions in how to knock it up a few notches, modernize it, or create a version that blends your favorite flavors. He’s simply remarkable. Our group of friends stopped in for a couple drinks and found ourselves staying long after we’d planned to leave. Lovely cocktail bar with an intimate, welcoming atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the Baton Rouge along with a few other classic cocktails—each one expertly crafted. The staff is warm and attentive, and the overall vibe is perfect for a relaxed evening out. Highly recommend for fans of timeless drinks and cozy settings.

Great cocktails and super helpful service- they can and will make anything for you. I only had the fries but they were amazing. Very cool and breezy inside.
